Announced Projects

This page is dedicated to Black cinema titles which fall into any of the following categories:

Announced:  Films in early development based on confirmed details released by the studio and/or production company.

In Development:  Producers typically work with screenwriters preparing the story outline into a workable script in an effort to garner a “greenlight” for the film from the financing studio/production company.

Pre-Production:  The producers, director and other crew prepare and plan for the principal photography by scouting locations, building sets, perfecting storyboards and finalizing casting.

Production:  Films that have commenced principal photography.

Post-Production:  Films that have completed principal photography and work begins on editing, music and effects.
